Description

Program name:
GIFT-LEAP (Get Into Fitness Together Learning Emotional Activity Program)

Program description:
GIFT-LEAP is designed to teach children that healthy eating and physical activity can be fun!

The class is designed to be interactive with around 30 minutes of educational material with around 20 minutes of physical activity based learning segments.

This FREE 6-week program also provides tools for parents to:

- encourage healthy eating habits
- increase physical activity
- shop on a budget
- incorporate healthy lifestyles into a busy schedule

Parents are invited to attend with their children each week and continue the fun at home! Parents are required to attend the 1st and 6th classes.

The parent sections talk about ways to shop for healthier items on a budget, encouraging and getting kids to actually eat fruits and vegetables, and how to portion a child’s plate/meals.
